CAERLEON. PETTY SESSIONS, TUESDAY, before the Rev. W. POWELL. ASSAULT.-Mary Welch was charged with assaulting Mary McCarthy. This turned out to be one of those rows between women, which are so common at Cwmbran, and in which they give each other the "full length of their tongues." Several witnesses were examined for both sides, from whose evidence it appeared that defendant had as- saulted the complainant by throwing a stone at her. She was therefore bound over to keep the peace for six months', and ordered to pay the costs. ADJOURNMENTS.—The cases of James Price, charged with stealing a slop, and Edwin Edwarts, charged with a trespass, were both adjourned to the next meeting, Oct..1.- (Other District Intelligence on 8th page),
