Mr. Mosely, Dentist, begs to direct attention to a New and Patented improvement in the manufacture of Artificial Teeth, Palates, &c., which supersedes all impure Metals and soft or absorbing agents, hitherto the fruitful cause of so many evils to the mouth and gums. A portion of this great improvement consists of a gum-colored enamelled base for the Artificial Teeth, which presents a uniformly eaiooth and highly polished surface, preventing any lodg- ment of food between interstices, thus avoiding the con- sequent unpleasant secretions, causing foulness of breath, &c. Additional Teeth can be added when required (thus saving great expense to the Patient) without extracting roots or fangs, and as the whole is moulded in a soft state, all inequalities of the gums or roots of teeth are care- fully protected, and insures a perfect system of painless Dentistry. Neither metals, wires, or unsightly ligatures are required, but a perfectly complete adhesion secured by Mr. MOSELY'S PATENTED SUCTION PALATE, No. 764, Aug.. 1855. *#*Decayed and Tender Teeth permanently restored to use, preventing the necessity of Extraction. CLABK'S, Bridge-street. Usk. To Advertisers. Advertising is to Business, what Steam is to Machinery The Grand Propelling Power.- MACAULEY. 4 S an Advertising medium for the County of Monmouth the OBSERVER ranks second to none, comprising, as it does, amongst its subscribers the No- hiiity, Gentry, Clergy, as well as a fair proportion of the Commercial and Agricultural population, and being published m the very heart of the County, it is circu- lated both m the MINERAL and AGRICULTURAL Districts, and besides being much read in the towns and villages where the other County newspapers are distributed, it is disseminated in a number of rural parishes where other newspapers are never or rarely seen. We quote the following, with regard to the benefits of advertising, from some ably written Rules for Success in Business,' in a most useful work entitled Sow to Make MoneyAdvertise your Business. Do not hide your light under a bushel.—Whatever you." occupation may be, if it needs support from the public, tdvertise it thoroughly and efficiently, in some shape or o;her that will arrest public attention. I freely confess that what success I have had in life may fairly be attributed nore to the public press than to nearly all other causes comiined. There may possibly be occupations that do not require advertising, but I cannot well conceive what they are. Men in business will some- times tell you that they havetried advertising, and that it did not pay. This is only whei advertising is done sparingly and grudgingly. Homceopatiic doses of advertising will not pay perhaps—it is like half apotion of physio—making the patient sick, but effecting notling. Administer liberally, and the cure will be sure and pernanent. Some say they cannot afford to advertise;' they mitake, they cannot afford not to advertise. In this country, vhere everybody reads the news- papers, the man must havei thick skull who does not see that this is the cheapest and blstmedium through which he can speak to the public, where le is to find his customers. Put on the appearance of busings, and generally the reality will follow. The farmer plants iis seed, and while he is sleeping, his corn and potatoes are growing. So with advertising. While you are sleeping, OJ eating, or conversing with one set of customers, your advertisement is being read by hundreds and thousands o persons who never saw you, nor heard of your business, ani never would, had it not been for your advertisement in the newspapers. The business men of this country do not, as sgeneral thing, begin to appreciate the advantages of adverting thoroughly." MONMOUTHSHIRE.
