IT having been notified to me by the Lords of Her Majesty's Privy Council that officers appointed to issue PASSES for CATTLE in LICENSED MARKETS have given Passes upon improper Licenses, I HEnEBY GIVE NOTICE that. by the third clause of the Order in Council of the 7th November, 1866, it is provided that animals are to be moved to Market with a STORE STOCK LICENSE, but not without it; and that. con. sequently, Cattle cannot be admitted to a Market with any other Licence. ALL SUBSCRIBERS of £ 2 and upwards to the General Fund for paying the rents and preserv- ing the waters of the Usk, and approved by the Com- mittee shall become members of the Association. All subscriptions shall become payable on the first day of January in each year. An annual meeting of the Association shall be called by the Secretaries for any day in January, or not later than February fourteenth in each year. At any meeting to be held, no person shall vote until his subscription shall have been paid. Subscribers of £2 and under £5 shall be entitled to one vote; Subscribers of £5 and upwards shall be en- titled to two rotes; the Chairman shall have the customary casting vote. Ten of the Tickets are reserved for Annual Sub. scribers whoso subscriptions amount to or exceed x 10, and such Tickets are, for the future, to be charged 4315 if transferable to friends staying in the house of the ticket-holder at the time, or to non-residents in the county. BULBS UNVEIL WRICH: FISHING TICKETS MAY BE ISSUED FOR MONMOUTHSHIRE DISTRICT. As to issue of tickets for fishing, the following shall application to ol the Committee through either of the Honorary Score* taries, obtain tlieprivilege of fishing:— h—Persons paying £1 Is. shall be entitled to one Trout Ticket for the season. —2.Transferable Tickets for Trout may fie issued by the Secretaries to Tenant Brinkers, such Tickets to be lent only to their personal friends. ^—■Persons may, on application to the Head Keeper, at Trostrey Weir, or at the Salmons Hotel, Usk, pro- cure Tickets as follows :-For 'one Trout rod, 2s. 6d. per day, or 10s. per week. 4. N1) Member or Ticket-holder shall be allowed to sell his fish,or lend his ticket, or act contrary to these rules, or violate any existing Act of Parliament for the preservation of fish, on pain of ceasing to be a member and forfeiting his ticket. S.-Tickets may be granted by the Secretaries to euch persons as they may think fit to angle for Truut and other fish (Salmon excepted) in that part of the river between Usk Railway Bridge and Pont Sampit, on payment of five shillings for the season-the field belonging to Major M-Dontjll expected. 6. No netting or other fishing (except fair rod and line angling), and no night-line or night lobworm fish- ing be allowed. 7.-The season for Trout commences on the Four- teenth of February and ends on the Thirtieth of Sep- tember, and the season for Salmon commences on the Fifteenth of March and ends on the 16th day of October. J S.—No Gaff for the taking of Salmon shalt be used before the First of May or after the First of Septem- ber, and persons fishing are required to supply them- selves with landing nets in lieu thereof, and must return all spent fish, or hen fish in spawn, to the river unin- jured. 9.-A Transferable Trout Ticket, to be called a "House Ticket, may be issued at 92 2s., to persons residing in the disttiot, to be only used by friends visiting at the house of the holder. 10. Ihe number of Salmon Tickets is limited to 31. 11.—Fifteen Salmon Tickets will be issued, at £10 each, to persons fishing this season, 1867, to be charged -MS if transferable to friends actually staying with them in their house, or absolutely fishing with them. A Transferable Trout Ticket is added to each of such tickets. 12-—Two fray Tickets, for the benefit of the town ?> neighbourhood, are to be kept at the irost Office, in Usk, and Mr. Clark is requested to keep a book, in which the name of each applicant, and the date of such application, be inserted; Mr. Clark is re- quested to issue such Day Tickets according to priority of application, and no two consecutive days can be taken if there be other names on the book. The charge for each Day Ticket is Seven Shillings and Sixpence, and all applications must be made within ten days of the day required. 13-—Two Transferable Tickets, for Salmon only, are assigned to Mrs. Macfarlane, of the Three Salmons Hotel, Usk, and Mrs. Macfarlane is to make her own regulations as to the issuing of the same to persons lodging at her house. H.-The Assoriation waters, to which these rules are applicable, extend from near Pandy Mill in the pr\°f Go?Tt?Jr'to tte aedland Pool, about nine miles below Usk; also to Kemeys fishery, if armlica- tion be made to Rev. A. Williams. The River is divided into different Casts and the keepers are provided with cards on which the name of each Cast is printed no person can claim more than one, or continue thereon more than an hour after notice has been given to him by a person wishing to fish it; no persons shall interfere with another while fishing any Cast, until the expiration of the time named. The existing arrangements with the Rev. A. Wil. liams and Mr. Homfray, remain as before.
