Prepared and Soid only by JOHN P. EMMEKT, Dew Street, Haverfordwest. TESTIMONIAL. Rickeston, Oct. 27th, 1854. DEAR SIR,-The 'Specific' you were kind enough to •end me some months ago, I have only had an opportunity of trying in a few cases: they were, howevei, I think, quite sufficient to test its efficacy, and fully convinced me ot its superiority over all other Blisters I had hitherto used. I first tried its effects on a severe splint of two vears stand- ing, and quite ossified. It in a few weeks entirely removed it. I next tried it on an enlarged knee, on which other severe Blisters had not had the slightest beneficial effects. I was, I must confess, very sceptical as to it3 result, and thought noapplication would reduce it. I, however, applied yours twice, and, I am happy to suy, with perfect success. In both cases the cuticle was not destroyed, nor any blemish left. I really think in all bony excrescences and enlargements of the leg of the horse, it will prove an invaluable remedy. BEWARE OF IMITATIONS!-—Bo particular to ask or ROPER'S PLASTERS. Old Dr. Jacob Townsend's American Sarsaparilla. THIS is one of the most extraordinary and valuable Medicines in the world. Its superiority over oiher pre partitions ot like char.icter, made in this countiy, arises from the mode of manufacture, and the advantage of ob- taining and working the root in its green and fresh state. The root, when brought to this country, is dry, vapid, and almositiistelesS, its virtues and juices having all evaporated; while it often becomes moultly, musty, and partially de- cayed, so that it is quite unfit for use. ENGLISH TESTIMONY. We give a few of the many communications we have re- ceived since we have been in England, from those who have experienced the great benefits of using this celebrated medicine. They must have some weight in Convincing the publib of its great value. 49, Davies-street, Berke!ey-square, Sept. 1,1851. Gentlemen.-I have much pleasure in testifying to the numerous thanks I have received from various persons who have taken Old Dr. Jacob Townsend's Sarsaparilla, many of whom will be happy to give you testimonials should you require them. 1 am doubly pleased to be able to speak to the good eftects t have Seen iny>eif proditced by the Sarea- parilla; for 1 must confess that although I was not pre- judicial, I was rather sceptical as to its virtues, which I would not have believrd it possessed, had I not seen it.—I am, gentlemen, your obedient servant, JOHN JAIMERSON. Hearing of Old Dr. Jacob Townsend's Sarsa- parilla, I obtained some, and. after 'aking it a short time, the accumulated corrupt matter copiously discharged, and I almost immediately obtained relief. I still contiuued its use for a time, and not only found relief, but a cure. and am now free from pain. I most sincerely recommend it to all who are similarly affected.—I am, gentlemen, your obedient servant, \M. HYDE. Messre. Pomeroy. Andrews, and Co. 8. CUPISS'S CONSTITUTION BALLS is so excel- lent that the proprietor begs to call the attention of the Public to a perusal of lit, Combs, StoWmarket, October 2'5th, 1850. Dear Sir,—Having for two years past experienced great trial with the Lung Complaint in my Neat Stock, last year having lost five out of seven, I employed an old-experienced Veterinary Surgeon, with little or ho success—the twocases saved I believe to be from the use of Blisters on each side of the Chest, and Cupiss,s Constitution Balis, which you re- commended and this year having two cases of the same disease, quite as bad as the others, I adopted the same means of cure, and am happy to state with sitdcest, having saved them both. I cannot speak too highly of the use of the Balls, I believe them to be as good for Neat Cattle as for Horses. I think this statement of importance to Agri- culturalists, and as Agent for Cupiss's Constitution Balls you are at liberty to make use of the above information at you may deem fit, Yours faithfully, JOHN COBBOLD. HOLLOWAY'S OINTMENT. tEN YEARS iNTERMITTENT ATTACKS, OF ERYSIPELAS EFFECTUALLY CURED Copy of a Letter from Mrs H. Trimmer, of Compton, near Winchester, dated 13th September, 1853. To Professor HoHoway— Sir;-I sdffered for a period of ten years (until the last six months) with the most dreadful intermittent attacks of Erysipelas, whith confined me to my bed during the whole of the summer months in each year. I consulted the most "minent medical gentlemen in Winchester, but was from line to time doomed to be disappointed in my hopes of obtaining any relief to my sufferings, although I complied strictly with the directions my advisers gave At length I was persuaded to give your Ointment and Pills a trial, by a female friend who had been cured of a bad leg by using them to my surprise anil delight a change for the better was quitkly produced, and in a very short time they caused the Erysipelas totally to disappear, and my hedlth wa& Entirely resuscitated which has remained good ever since I remain, gratefully yours, HARRIET TRIMMEU ASTOUNDING CURB dF SCROFULA. William Pogue, of Emyvale, (a young man well fcriowh in that neighbourhood) was afflicted for three years with Scrofula on the left arm, there were four ulcers which dis- charged continuously, and reduced the poor fellow to a mere skeletdn. He was lor a long time under the cafe of one medical gentleman, and consulted many others, hiit derited no benefit whatever. At I-st he had recourse to Hdlloway's Ointment and Pills, and by persevering with these remedies in the course of eight weeks his arm was completely well, and his health thoroughly re-established; The truth of this statement can be verified by many o the Inhabitants of Emyvale, and partifcularly by Mr Patrick McKenna, Druggist, ot that place. ASTONISHING CURE OF AN ULCSRATED LEG AFTER THBEE HOSPITALS F AILKD Copy of a Letter from Mr W. Hare, of Exeter, dated September 22,1854. To Professor Holloway- A man named William Hall, in the employ of Mr C. Sctat. s, Nurseryman, of this City, has degired tne to make known to you the benefit he has received from using your Ointment and Pills. For three years this poor man suffered terribly with a severely ulcerated leg, and during this time he sought relief at Guy's, King's College; and the Devon and Exeter Hospitals, and was finally told by a Surgeon that amputation of the limb was necessary to save his life however, instead of taking this advice he immediately had recours* to yotir Ointment and Pills, and they have done him more good than all the other medicines put together, he being now able to follow his occupation, and rapidly gaining health and strength. I remain, Sir, yours faithfully, WILLIAM HARE. THREE EXTRAORDINARY CURES IN ONB FAMILY! Copy of a Letter from Mr Cottrall Hyatt, late Pay Sergeant of the ft-th Regiment of Foot, dated Irishtown, Athlone 6th July, 1854. To Professor Holloway- Sir,-I am happy to bear testimony to the extraordinary effect of your invaluable medicines, the wonders they have worked on three members of my own family being sufficient to convince the most incredulous ot the many virtues they posse»s. My youngest son, aged 9 years, was afflicted with several lumps on the right side 01 his neck, which were very painful, and tended considerably to interfere with his general health. My second sou, aged 11, was similarly afflicted, and suffered for an equally lengthened period; Both these youths have been radically cured by the use of your Oint- ment and Pills, after the treatment ol Surgeons in each instance had failed to afford them the least benefit. My eldest son, aged 19, was for three years a great sufferer with eight running ulcers on his neck, of a most severe character. For him 1 consulted several medical men, both civil and military, but their treatment was unsuccessful. I have just put him under a course of your medicines the result is truly astonishing, five of the sores are completely cured, and the remainder rapidly healing. The health of all three of the boys is considerably improved. I remain, Sir, your obliged servant, COTTRALL HYATT.
