At the meeting of the Mutual Improvement Society at the Wesleyan Chapel on Wednesday, there was a very interesting and instructive debate upon the subject" Is it right to adopt as a National motto Wales for the Welsh' ?" There was a crowded house, under the presi- dency of the vice-chairman, Mr Richard Williams. The affirmative side was taken by Mr Edwin Roberts, Hiraddug House, the negative by Mr J. T. Hughes, Bryn Terrace. After a heated discussion contributed to by the Chairman, Messrs Robert Hughes, Thos. Lee Williams, Thos. Jones Hughes, and Mrs I Edwin Roberts. The question was put to the vote, when the negative side won by an over- whelming majority. j
