Drifting Sand at Rhyl. In order to cope with the great quantity of sand which drifts continually into the streets of Rhyl, the Council of that town are considering the desirability of extending the west promenade at a cost of about £3000. The ratepayers now pay a sum equivalent to 2d in the pound for the removal of sand-drifts, and it is stated that the proposed extension would prevent the accumulation.
