KJJJLLPSR BRADFORD'S WASHING MACHINES TTAVE this year, 1862, received pr1*ze medals from the following exhibitions I I and societies: The International Exhibition, the Glasgow, the Manchester Liverpool, the Warwickshire, the Staffordshire, and the Royal Cornwall Society's Medal; also eight other FIRST prizes in money. But the most important, because the most practical, test ever applied to washing machines, was in competing for the great Preston Guild Prize of £5, for the best washing machine combined with wringing and mangling;" the character of, and great publicity given to which,-more than its money value-naturally created considerable excitement and competition. The prize of X5 was awarded to Bradford's Improved Original Patent after a ten minutes and seven minutes' test; and a medal to two other competitors. A reference to the Society's catalogue will show that 34 machines were entered for this prize, fully establishing Bradford's Washing Machines the best of the year 1862, as they were of 1861 1860 1859, and 1858, during which years-a month's trial-has been allowed to each purchaser. For detailed particulars of the above, and also of the celebrated India Rubber Clothes' Wringer, apply to EVAN THOMAS, IRONMONGER, Agent for Aberdare. FREDERICK G.
