IN PARLIAMENT—SESSION 1892. i BARRY AND CADOXTOU G-AS AND WATER. (Powers to construct new works, acquire further Lands and raise additional Capital, other Powers, Amendment or Repeal of Acts.) "V^OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that applica- -i-N tion is intended to'be made to Parliament in the ensuing Session by the Barry and Cadoxton Gas and Water Company (hereinafter called The Company ") for leave to bring in a Bill for all or some of the following among other purposes that is to say :— 1.—To authorise the Company to make and maintain the works hereinafter described, or some or one of them to be wholly situate in the Parish of Saint Andrews Major, in the County of Glamorgan, that is to say :— (a) A Conduit adit or line of pipes. No. 1, to commence from and out of the exist- ing pumping works and well of the Company on Biglis Moors, and to terminate in that portion of Dinas Powis Moor num- bered 702 on the 1-2500 scale Ordnance Map of that Parish, and 21 chains or there- abouts from the north-west corner of a field, numbered 707 on the said Ordnance Map. (11) A well shaft or boring to be situate in that part of Dinas Powis Moor numbered 702 on the 1-2500 scale Ordnance Map of that Parish, and 2h chains or thereabouts from the north-west corner of a field numbered 707 on the said Ordnance Map. fr) A Conduit adit or line of pipes, No. 2, to commence from or out of the well shaft or boring (work h) before described, and to terminate in and near the north corner of that part of Cog Moor numbered 710 on the 1-2500 scale Ordnance Map of that Parish. (,1) A road to commence at and from the existing pumping works and well of the Company before described, and to terminate by a junction with the existing road of the Barry Railway Company at a point one chain or there- abouts south of the north-west corner of a field numbered 707 on the 1-2500 scale Ordnance Map of the aforesaid parish, (') All necessary and proper embankments walls dams cuts channels aqueducts catch- waters culverts tunnels drains sluices wells tanks engines buildings mains pipes machinery appliances roads Plp- proaches telegraphs and telephones and other works and conveniences. 2.—To authorise the Company to (a) Purchase by compulsion or agreement and hold and to take on lease and to take grants of easements over through or under lands buildings springs streams waters and other hereditaments and property which may be required for the purposes of the intended works and of their undertaking or otherwise requisite or desirable for the purposes of the Bill. and to vary and extinguish all rights and pri- vileges connected therewith. (lJ) Take collect divert impound appro- priate and use all such springs and waters as can be diverted and abstracted or as will or may be intercepted by the proposed works or which may be found in or under any of the lands for the time being be- longing to the Company, or over or in res- pect of which they may acquire easements or rights. (to) Deviate from the lines and levels of the intended works to such an extent as ma}' be defined by the Bill or prescribed by Parlia- nlent. (t,7) Lay down maintain alter remove and renew mains pipes and other apparatus works and conveniences in over under or across and for that purpose to break up. open alter divert stop up or otherwise interfere with either temporarily or per- manently. any turnpike cr other roads highways footways streets public places bridges canals navigations towing paths railways tramways telegraphs telephones pipes sewers drains rivers strc-ams brooks or watercourses in the parishes townships and places before mentioned so far as may be necessary or convenient for any of the purposes of the Bill. 3.—To authorise the Company to raise further moneys for the purposes of the Bill and for the general purposes of their undertaking by the creation of new shares or stock with or without a preference priority or guarantee in payment of interest or dividend or other rights or privileges attached thereto and by borrowing on mortgage or bond and by the creation and issue of debenture stock or by any of these means, and to apply to any of the purposes of the Billi any moneys now belonging to the Company or which they have power to raise. 4.—To incorporate with the Bill all or some of the provisions of "The Companies' Clauses Con- solidation Act. IS-5." The Companies' Clauses Act. 1853." The Companies' Clauses Act, 1839." The Lands" Clauses Acts, and The Waterworks' Clauses Acts. 1847 and 1863," and such parts of "The Railways' Clauses Consolidation Act. 1845," c- as relate to roads and the temporary occupation of lands with such variations modifications and j exceptions as the Bill may prescribe. 5.—To alter, amend, extend, enlarge or to repeal so far as may be necesstry for the purposes of the Bill the provisions or some of the provisions of The Barry and Cadoxton Gas and Water Acts. 1883 and 1839." and all other acts (if any) which may relate to or be affected by any of the objects of the Bill. ô.-Tbe Bill will confer on the Company all powers rights authorities and privileges which are or may become necessary for carrying it into execution, will vary and extinguish all rights and privileges which would in any manner impede or interfere with its objects, and will confer other ex- emptions rights and privileges, and will contain all such provisions as may be necessary or inciden- tal to its objects. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN, that on or before the 30th day of Novem- ber instant plans and sections of the intended works together with books of reference to such plans and a copy of this Notice as published in the London Gazette will be deposited for public inspec- tion with the Clerk of the Peace for the County of Glamorgan at his Office at Cardiff, and with the Parish Clerk of the said Parish of Saint Andrews Major, at his residence, and on or before 'he 21st, day of December next. printed copies of the Bill for effecting the objects aforesaid will be deposited iu the Private Bill Office of the House of Commons. N OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that applica- tion is intended to be made to Parliament in the ensuing Session for leave to bring in a Bill for effecting the purposes or some of the purposes following (that is to say) To provide for the formation of a Burial Board for each af the following districts namely so much of each of the Parishes of Llantwit Fardret Llanwonno Llantrisiinf Llanfabon and Eglwysilau. all in the County of Glamorgan respectively as (fl) is comprised within the Urban Sanitary District of Pontypridd in the same County as now existing.or as it may be hereafter lawfully extended, whether r before or after the passing of 1 he intended Act, and (/>) is not included in the District of the Knrial [ Board for the Ecclesiastical Parish or District of j Glyntaff in the same County (hereinafter called the Glyntaff Burial Board) and to confer all such, powers as may be necessary in that behalf upon the parishioners assembled in a vestry meeting or a meeting in the native of a Vestry Meeting of each of the Districts for which a Burial Board is intended to be formed as afore-. said as if such District were a District for which a ■ Vestry Meeting' or Meeting in the nature of a ¡ Vestry Meeting could now be lawfully held and a Burial Board constituted or a Burial Ground prù- vided under the Burial Acts 1852;to 1871 and to provide for the holding of Vestry Meetings or Meeting-sin the nature of Vestry Meetings accord- ingly. To prescribe the number of members of which each Burial Board to 'ye formed as afore- said shall consist and to make provision for the election appointment retirement rotation and qualification of members of each such Board to provide that the Burial Boards to be formed as aforesaid shall together with the Glyntaff Burial Board constitute and act as one Joint Burial Board for all the districts of such Burial Boards for the purposes of the said intended Act and of the said Burial Acts and any Acts amending the same and that all the provision of such Acts shall save as in the said intended Act may be otherwise expressly provided apply to such Joint Burial Board accordingly. To provide that the Burial Ground now be- longing to the Glyntaff Burial Board as such Burial Ground now exists or as it is proposed to be enlarged under the provisions of the intended Act r'lall be deemed to have been provided by the said Joint Board and shall be the one Burial Ground for all the Districts of the said Burial Boards constituting such Joint Board and to transfer to the Joint Board the property and liabilities of the Glyntaff Burial Board. To prescribe and regulate and if thought ex- pedient to reduce either immediately or as and from such period or periods as the Bill may pre- scribe the number of members from time to time of the Glyntaff Burial Board and to regulate pre- scribe and if necessary limit the future num- her of members of that board to provide for the transfer to such Joint Board as aforesaid of officers and servants of the Glyntaff Burial Board and for securing to such officers and servants their present salaries and emoluments and the right to hohl their respective offices unless the Glyntaff Burial Board otherwise agree. To declare and provide that the Incumbents Churchwardens Overseers Parish Clerks and Sextons of each of the several parishes for parts of which a Burial Board may be formed as afore- said shall be deemed to be for the purposes of the Burial Acts 1852 to 1871 and of any Acts amend- ing the same and of the intended Act the Incum- bents Churchwardens Overseers Parish Clerks and Sextons of such part or parts and to regulate their rights to fees and emoluments and their other rights powers and duties in relation to the Burial Ground of the said Joint Burial Roard. To define and to regulate the rights of inter- mont in the TImid Ground of the said Joint Burial Board. To apportion or provide for the apportion- ment (to be determined by arbitration in the case of difference) between the Districts of the several Boards constituting the Joint Board of the ex- penses of the Joint Board includ'ng therein any monies requirtd to be provided for the discharge of the liabilities of the Glyntaff Burial Board for crin relation of their existing Burial Ground and the proposed extension thereof and to provide for the payment by each of the said Districts (other than that of the Glyntaff Burial Board) to the Glyntaff Burial Board of such annual or other sums as the Bill may prescribe by way of contri- bution of such portion of the loan raised by the Glyntaff Burial Board for or in relation to their existing Burial Ground as has been already or may upon the passing of the intended Act be paid off or discharged by that Board. To provide for referring to Arbitration of all or any questions to arise between the Glyntaff Burial and the said Joint Burial Board in relation to the transfer of the property and liabilities of the Glyn- taff Burial Board to the said Joint Burial Board. To empower the Glyntaff Burial Board or the Joint Board to be constituted as aforesaid to enlarge and extend the existing Burial Ground of the Glyntaff Burial Board upon the whole or some part or parts of the lands and within the limits hereinafter specified and to purchase and take the said lands in the manner provided by the Lands' Clauses Consolidation Acts compuisorily or by agreement and to use the same for the purposes of a Burial Ground and approaches thereto and works eonnectcd therewith. The said lands are wholly in the Parish of Egiwysilan in the County of Glamorgan and are the following (that is to say) (If) Certain closes or lands numbered respec- tively 1029. 1030. and 1032 on the Ordnance Survey for Wales published on the scale of 1 2500 or 25'314 inches to the mile (here- inafter referred to as the Ordnance Survey. And (11) such parts of the closes or lands numbered respectively on the Ordnance Survey 1007. 1012, 1014, 1031, 1033 as lie to the eastward of the Pontypridd Caerphilly and Newport Railway. To authorise the Glyntaff Burial Board or the Joint Board to be formed as aforesaid to stop up and discontinue the existing public footpath across the lands numbered 1031 and 1030 as aforesaid and in substitution therefor to make a new footpath and to provide for the dedication of the said new footpath and its maintenance and repair as a put lie highway. To authorise the Glyntaff Burial Board or the Joint Board to be constituted as aforesaid to stop up and discontinue for public traffic the public roadway situate between the existing Burial Ground of the Glyntaff Burial Board on its south-western side and lands belong or re- puted to belong to Lady Llanover and which road leads from the public road from Merthyr-Tydfil to Cardiff and terminates at the entrance gates of the existing Burial Ground and to vest in the said Board the site and soil of the said road to extin- guish all public and other rights of way and other rights in over or affecting the same and to enable the said Board to use the same as part of their Burial Ground. To enable the Glyntaff Burial Board or the Joint Board to be formed as aforesaid to make all necessary approaches to and communications with their Burial Ground and to make and carry into effect contracts agreements cr arrangements with public bodies and private persons for or in relation to the hereinbefore mentioned lands and works or ny of the purposes of the intended Act and to con- ::nl1 with or witiiout alteration any such contract agreement or arrangement ns may have been jntv-rtd into prior to the p .ssing or the intended Act by the Glyntaff Burial Board.
