Davies, Ton-Pentre, presided. The Rev. 0. Waldo Roberts, Treorchy. proposed excellent suggests ns dealing with the problem of the children of the churches—in the Band of Hope, the prayer meeting, the Sunday School, and the preaching service—and the same were ordered to be immediately printed and distributed. The timely remarks of the vice-presi- dont. Mr. James Rees, Tyiorstown, on the preservation of the SaBbath were well received and confirmed in a resolution to be forward.ed to the Home Office. Th I speaker had no sympathy witfl the cry o "Wales for the Welsh," but whilst th< Welsh desired and were compelled by lav to close their .establishments on Sunday foreigners also must be compelled to re spect the Welsh Sabbath. The Rev. T. Humphreys, ljlaenllechau in his report on the Sunday School, re ported an increase in the, number wh sat the Scripture examinations, hut the majority of the prizes had gone to tllf- Aberdare Valleys. A vote of sympathy was unanimously passed with Dr. Morris and Noddf: Church, Treorchy, in their recen vexatious trial in the law ccorts, express ing pleasure at the clear satisfactory result. Sympathy was alio expressed with Mrs. Williams (widow of the lat. Rev. Anthony Williams, Nebo) in hev bereavement. Pleasure was expressed with the Rev. Isaac Jones Ferndale, and Mr. David Evans, Cymmer, in their con tinued improvement after a trying illness I Mr. Enos George (secretaiy) proposed a change in the hour of meeting owing to I the sparse attendance of delegates a+ recent meetings, and it was decided t, c-ommence future meetings at 6 o'clock.
