It will be remembered that the Welsh Provincial Insurance Company was the first to reduce the pre- mium on Farming Stock to 3s. per cent, effecting there- by a Saving to the Farmer of £ 25. per cent on the Cost of Fire Insurance. The Director8 have determined also on discontinuing the Extra Charge heretofore made for the Use of Steam Engines on Farms. The Welsh Company has thus Established for itself a strong claim to the support of the Farmers of Wales. The Government Returns for 1853, show that the Farming Stock Insurances effected by the Welsh Office exceeded the business done by 24 London and Country Companies, notwithstanding that most of them had been established many years before it. No expense whatever is incurred in transferring In- surances to the Provincial Office. Board Room, Provincial Insurance Company, Wrexham, August, 1854.
