KORMAN COOKE, Esq., Old Post Office Chambers, Aberystwyth. This Company was formed for the purpose of acquiring certain leases, min- ing rights or setts of the very rich Lead end Copper Mines on the Gogerddan Estate," situate in Cardiganshire, North "Rales. Of these the best known are:— Esgair flir, Great Daren, Esgair t'iraith. East Daren, jBiaen Ceulan, West Daren, Jx>veden, South Daren, Keuaddlloyd, Gwaithyrafon, Pooipronpren TJcha, Cerrigwyn, Yaughan or Copper Level, Llettyevanhem, Broiifloyd. Pencefyn, It is proposed to instal an Electrical plant at a cost of 2100,POO, for the pur- pose of dealing with the Lead, Copper, end Zinc deposits which exist in very large quantities. Samples of Lead Con- centrates have been submitted to the -ii-ell-known refiners, Messrs. Loos and Sanders, of Birmingham, who report a yield of Sozs. of Silver per ton, and 83.3 per cent. of Lead. This is abnormally rich. Mr. W. T. Lambert, Assayer to the Mond Nickel Co., Ltd., assayed samples of Concentrates of Galena and Blonde, and found from the Galena a yield of: 8 ozs. Silver to the ton. 83.39 per cent. Lead. .16.. „ Iron. 18.11, Sulphur. 3.30. Silica. 99.96 (The Blende yielded: 58.46 per cant. Zinc. 3.11. Lead. .40. Copper. .30 „ M Arsenic. 2.70. Iron. 32.11 „ ». Sulphur. 2.81 „ „ Silica. I 99.89 It is proposed to commence operations en three of the mines, n&mely: Copper Level, Bronnoyd and Loveden. Estimat- ing that thesc three mines yield only 300 tons of Lead Concentrated per month, ( substantial profits should accrue to the ¡ Shareholders, particularly as the present I high prices for Lead and Copper will probably be maintained for a long time. The mines acquired by this Company I have already yielded many millions to their owners working under Adit. With I the installation of an Electrical plant operations can be carried on on a vastly I' larger scale than in the past. There is sufficient Lead, Copper and Zinc on the dumps alone to pay substantial dividends. The outbreak of War awakened public attention to the unrivalled metalliferous deposits of the great central Silurian basin of the Principality. The success of some of the mines in this district has been on a colossal scale. The shares of Welsh Lead Mining Companies bid fair to become a most desirable holding both from the view of oapital, appreciation, and dividend payments. FORM OF APPLICATION.
