LLANDUDNO "PALS" ROUTE MARCH. I A NOTABLE COMPANY. The inhabitants of the greater part of Car- narvonshire have had among them on a route march one of the most interesting companies of the Welsh Army. This is the "Pals" (Uni- versity and public schools of Walesi, or "B" company of the 13th Battalion of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, now in training at Llan- dudno. This company was formed last September, and was rapidly lilled with many graduates and students of Oxford (especially Jesus College), the colleges at Bangor, Aberyst- wyth, Cardiff, Lampeter, and scholars from some of the public schools (Llandovery especially). In tho ranks also were profes- sional men, teachers from elementary and second ary schools, men prominent in business circles, bank clerks, etc. So efficient was the company that it lm* furnished over 100 officers for the army in various parts of the kingdom. As these left the company was replenished with good material. Among those men, and especially those who joined the company at its formation and have now had seven months' strenuous training, there are many who will doubtless receive commissions in duo course and make valuable officers. The company marched to Trefriw yes- terday week from Llandudno, thence to Capel Curig on Friday, and on Saturday to Llan- beris, where there was a stay till Monday, when the march was to Beddgelert. The re- maining stages were to Penygrccs, Carnarvon and Bangor, where they arrived yesterday, and were billeted at the Drill Hail in Glynne- road, and tenta were also pitched in the foot- ball field. The men, who are in charge of I Major Bell, a very popular officer, leave this I morning for Llandudno. ¡
