Increased Rents.—The Association i'51 giving attention to a number of rent cases, where, by subterfuge, certain land- lords have increased the rents above that which the Increase Rents Courts Emer- gency Act allows, taking advantage of the recent increases in rates. Circulars have been issued giving maximum increase chargeable. In many cases the landlord has been under assessed taking into cowideration the rent paid by tenant.
