I For having been drunk and disorderly, the following were fined :-Sba(Irick Thomas, lab- ourer, Garth, 20s.; Thomas Evans, labourer, Garth, 15s.; David Thomas, collier, Blaengarw, 20s.; Stephen Warwick, collier, Blaengarw, 15s; Thomas Watkins, collier, Penyfai, 15s. The use of indecent language led to fines being imposed on John Barrie. labourer, Bryn- cethin, 10s.; Nora Barrie, wife, Bryncethin, 10s.; Mary A. Murphy, wife, Caerau, 15s.; Wm. Thomas, labourer, Bridgend, 15s; Annie Butler, charwoman, Bridgend, 15s. A NUISANCE. I Thomas- Meredith, collier, Caerau, was fined I 10s. for having committed a nuisance. NO LIGHT. I Frank Birch and William Crawford, colliers, Maesteg, were fined 5. for having ridden a bicycle without having had a light. SUNDAY TRADERS. I The following Sunday traders were dealt with :—Bridget Murphy, shopkeeper, Maesteg, fined 5s.; Victor Gazzi, shopkeeper, Maesteg, 5s.; Angel Franchi, shopkeeper, Bridgend, 5s.; Louis Sidoli, shopkeeper, Kenfig Hill, 5s. GIPSIES' FIRE. I Howard Evans, Joseph Lee, Jane Lee, Morgan Herne, gipsies, St. Bride's Major, were fined 10s. for having lit a fire on the highway. A similar fine was imposed on Caradog Price, senr., Caradog Price, junr., Frederick Price, William Davies, William Lee, gipsies, Ewenny, for a similar offence. ASLEEP IN THE DEEP." I Rees Thomas, labourer, Railway Inn, Maes- I teg, was nned ?2 for having slept in the mine. I MAINTENANCE. I William John Thomas, collier, Court Ter- race, Cwmffos, Cefn Cribbwr, was summoned in respect of the maintenance of his mother, who had become chargeable to the common fund of the Bridgend and Cowbridge Union.—The case was adjourned for a fortnight. Monday.—Before: Messrs. D. H. Lloyd and G. L. Bruce. ABSENTEES. I George Mason, private in the Army Service Corps, and Ernest Simons, private in the 3rd Battalion Shropshire Regiment, were charged with having been absentees from their regi- ments, and were remanded to await escorts.
