PENCOED. Bridgend 'Quins, the second team on the League Table, came to Penooed on Saturday to try to notch another two points but found the homesters too warm. There was only one team in. it. the homesters putting on a score of 2 goals (1 dropped) S tries (IB points) to nil. The home forwards were in fine form. At half-backs, 11. Leyshon and A. Hon ell ww easily the best, and it is to be hoped that R. Leyshou will remain in the team for this sea- son. Of the threequarters, J. Cooper was the pick of the fieJd. The way he scooped up the leather in the loose, and his strong runs for the line which enabled him to score two of the tries, was worth going a long way to see. Captain T. Evans and the. oth.er two threequarters were also in good form. Devon- shire, the homo full back, was great, his drop goal from just inside the half-way line being the finest ever seen on tlie ground. CROSS-BAR. « â
