ABERDOVEY. GOLF TOURNAMENT.âThe Whitsuntide tourna- ment of the Aberdovey Club was commenced on Wednesday, and drew numerous new players from the Midland Counties. The weather was everything that could be desired, the fine breeze cooling the air and making the playing a real pleasure. The greens are in excellent condition. The handicap competition for the first and second prizes presented by Major Green was played, when the first prize was won by W. KeitVe, Wolverhampton, and the second prize by R. J. Gillespie; London. The following were the best cards returned:âW. Kettle, 106, less 22â84; H. J. GiPespie, 101, less 15â86; F.
