Mr. Howell Idris's Campaign. Enthusiastic Meeting at Rhuddlan. Strong Criticism of the Government. [BY OUR OWN REPORTER.] ON Friday evening last, Mr Alderman Howell Idris, the recently selected candidate for the Flint Boroughs in succession to Mr Herbert Lewis, M.P. was introduced to his Rhuddlan constituents in the National Schools. The candidate, who was accompanied by Mr R. Llewelyn Jones, Rhyl, re- ceived a warm welcome from the meeting. Several prominent Conservatives were ptesent. Tlhe clhair was taken by lT, R. LLEWELYN JO'NEiS, C .C., who prelfiaiced hlis remarks with an alluteiion to the retirement of Mr Sam Smcitia, the present member for the county. For the Last seventeen years Mlr Sinutih had represented that c'ounty nobly and well, but owing to ill- healVh he had! been obliged to intimate his resoluttion to resign at the dissolution of Parlia- ment.
