In some subjects the percentage was very much higher, as e.g. in Sound, Light, and Heat the Firsts were hundred per cent. in Physiography there were 16 FIRSTS out of 23 Passes and in Physics 11 FIRSTS out of 16 Passes. In the College of Preceptors examinations, boys were presented for 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Classes 17 in all passed, nearly 50 per cent, in 1st Division, 35 per cent, in 2nd Division, 3 only being in 3rd Division. In the Cambridge Local, 1 tried the senior examina- tion and passed with HONOURS 2nd Class, there being three classes. 2 passed the Pharmaceutical Examination on first try. 1 passed the examination into the National Pro- vincial Bank, and 1 the Edinburgh Medical.
