IT THE ORIGINAL UNION FIRE-OFFICE, CORN HILL, "ESTABLISHED NEARLY ONE HUNDRED YEARS WILLIAM MOSS, lRONJCONGER, AGENT FOR CARMARTHEN. T flME beneficial effects of Insurance against loss fi l>y Fire, are r»o less obvious and important, than the. ■consequences o-f neglecting to insure are ruinous- and dread t'tsl, Life, Property, every enjoyment of the present mo- ment, and till the prospects of the future, are frequently m- volved in the issue of a casual conflagration: hence it oe- comes the duty and the policy of individuals to guard tiiem- If4ves against such events, by means the most eftectual and economical. Among the many Institutions that have been formed to provide for the Security of the Public on such- occasions, THE UNION .FIRE-OFFICE, ranks among the most respectable and liberal.—This Office has al wavs paid Lossesordamagesby:Fire, from Lightning; and I am now authorized to inform the Farmers and Public, that ihe Premium on the Stock of Corn and Hay, the produce of a Farm; also Cattle and. Implements of Husban- dry thereon, will be rated at Two Shillings per Cent. and all persons insured i,thiI'O;:ic(', are requested to refer to their Policies,, in order that thqy re iy receive the benefit oi this reduction of the Szock in their respect- ve renewals; ard that priaC i receipts are ready for deli- very, for' the premiums and duty on Policies, as they become, due:; and that printed proposals of the' terms of insurance, may he had of me, which will be found as moderate in every respect as those of other Offices.. Farming Stock may be insured, generally, in all Rims and Out-houses, or on a Farm, without the average cfatise. Persons desirous of increasing the amount of tneir Assurances, in of the increased price of huild- JJIG; MATERIALS, are informed, that no additional EXPENCE of Policies is incurred at this Office.-Policies insuring Three Hundred Pounds, the aunual amount of which is only 6s. an issued free of ex pence and all payments for tosses by Fire, are made by this Office without deduction. < N. B. In behalf of this Society, I beg leave to return my sincere thanks to the Insurers at this Oihcey for their favours to me sbee my Agencv at Carmarthen; and also beg- to in- fiH,u tl-o e who have "dropped their insurance (and others who may entertain the same opinion) in conseqnence of their p which is grounded in weakness and error, that «Mt. s take the remaining property, after a the to assist them in paying the loss; that this Office pays all losses or damages, proved to be done by fire, provided the amount does not exceed the Sum insured, without any claim or pre- tence to the remaining property that may be saved and al- so pays in- add-on to the amount lost, all reasonable charges attending the removal of goods in time of danger; and also insurer-sin this Office (excepting only insurers for seven years, wiio are Proprietors in the concern) are not isable to be called upon to make good losses, as the whole property of the Society is liable to pay or make good any loss by lire, which may happen to them. As to Septennial Insurers thev arc Partners in tlwconcem, and receive their share of the profits, which have been divided among them lei the amount of at least 300,0001. and consequently they and they only are liable io make good any losses which may happen to themselves or the insurers for less than Seven Years, as the last run no risk of loss, and receive no share of profit. t* Proposals for Septennial or Annual and short period insurances, with any further information which may be re- qn-red for the explaining this mode of insurance, may be had 04 the Agent ,• WM.
