Great Western Colliery Accident. MHETRFFG OF THE RELIEF COMMITTEE. THE WIDOWS' COAL SUPPLY. The half-yearly meeting of the executive com- mittee of the Great Western Colliery Accident Relief Committee was held on Saturday. Mr Godfrey L. Clark presided. A resolution of eon- dolence with the relatives of the late Councillor Leyshon, of Pontypridd, one of the members of the committee, was passed. Several applicar tions for grants from the funds were conceded. A letter from the secretary to the Great Wes- tern Company on the question of supplying the widows with coal on the same terms as the colliers was read. The directors could not see their way to grant the request, and suggested that an extra allowance should be made to the widows to meet the extra price which they paid for coal, but no resolution on this point was arrived at. It was resolved that in future ap- plications for grants shall only be considered at the annual meeting.
