The City of Hereford Eicetion took plice 011 Monday morning last, when R. Pulsford, Esa., young and unknown man was elected. He was* op* posed by E. G. Griffiths l-sq, but who did not make 11 personal canvass. Mr Puisfords majority was 145 which is 45 less than that obtained by Mr Hobhotf** at the last Flection. Mr Griffiths the polled only 12 votes less than Mr Burr did on the saiH3 occasion. This shows a groat Conservative re-acti"11 in Hereford, a city which we trust will soon liil/O another Tory member in the House of Commons. The fairs last week, in Pembrokeshire, viz., PerJJ broke, Haverfordwest & Narberth, went off with great spirit; cattle realized good prices, as manifested bf the following anecdote —One farmer meeting fxnothCj enquired —'• what kind of cattle was iu demand-" His friend replied, "he could not indeed tell what particular kind was required, for the dealers were buying all sorts."
