The Attendance Officer's report showed that the attendance for the mootfi wis 93 per cent, being about the same as the corresponding mouth last year. The number on the books 171 was the lowest for some time pasb due to a gocdiy number of the boys having finished the school age and left, ani fewer bjja than usual being removed frcm thg infant schocl. The County Authority wrote, urging teachora to moderate their requests for school supplies, as many articles, espeoialiy in c-py book, school stationery, pens and such like were new unobtainable The Eister holidays wore agreed to on the terms fired at thejiiat meeting of managtra and teaohersheld twelve months ago, thus the school will break up as from Wednes- day morning next. DEXBIGHfTES IX FRANCE.
DEXBIGHfTES IX FRANCE. Gunner Arthur Price (late of the Pi ce. Press staff) sends some interest- ing particulars of life in France in the particular section at the base he is stationed. He remarks that he has only come across one man from Denbigh since he has been in France, and that one was a fellow-member of the English Church Sunday School, namely, "Harold Hudson Jones," formerly an assistant at Messrs. Harrison Jones & Co., chemists, who was a teacher in the Sunday School, and much esteemed. He was (when Arthur Price saw him) in a draft ot the Royal Field Artillery going up to the front line. Naturally when the Denbigh and district men see any of the R.W.F., they keep a keen look out for a possible chum or ac- quaintance, for they are always look- ing forward to news from the old homes. Gunner Arthur Price is in good health and proud to be doirg something to help his country and people in this terrible struggle. He was seen, though he did not know it at the time, by another Denbighite, the youngest son of the late Mr Meyrick Evans, the former Corpora- tion foreman, whose company was going up to the front.

This no (I inbt Is a work of love, bat why should njt oar iocal inhabitants consider first, the wounded and discharged men of their own native town, I have been told that soldiers have been treated for severe woands: and have gained the use of their limbs through electric treatment at this convalescent home while there h a local lad who has practioally i08t the n,o o hU right hand. WftaJ hH become of the Local Foods that this soldier should not receive the same treatment as tnoee In th* convalescent home.
