ABERDARE LITERARY SOCIETY The Aberdare Literary and Debat- ing Society commenced its winter session la Ft Tuesday evening. The chair was taken by Mr. Wyndham Thomas. The inaugural address was delivered by Mr. T. Walter Wil- liams, B.Sc., on "The nature of the Comic." The lect-irer was in his ele- ment. He treated his subject his- torically, philosophically an« physi- ologically, with a wealth ef illustra- tions, and kept the audienee in great humour.
