Dickon, gan fod Cyfarfod- ydd yr Undeb," a'r Gymanfa Orllewinol" i gael eu cynal yr wythnos nesaf, y bydd mor briodol i ni beidio pasiounrhyw benderfyniadau yn nglyn a symudiad cynifer o'r tadau o'n mysg, hyd oni ymgyfarfyddom yn sir Aberteifi yr wvth- nos nesaf, ac a hyny y cydunwyd yn unfrydol. BE WELSH INTERMEDIATE EDUCATION BILL. At the annual Association of the Congrega- tionalists of Carmarthenshire and South Wales, held at Peniel, near Carmarthen, May 26th, 1885, representing .more than one hundred churches and branch churches, and upwards of 30,000 members, the following Reselutiou was unanimously passed:— That this Meeting deplores the powers proposed to be given to the Country Magistrates, the other provisions for indirect representation—and the provisions sanctioning certain religious instruct ion at the puUic expense, contained in the Welsh Intermediate Education Bill," and unless these and other objectionable provisions be removed by amendments, would most decidedly prefer that the Bill should be withdrawn in order that the quest- ion may be dealt with by the next Parliament, in as much as we firmly believe that the Education Committee for the County should be elected directly by the people, and should have the Endowed Schools in the County vested in it by the Act, with power, subject to the control of the Education Department, of remodelling them, as well as founding new schools, when and where required and also should have direct communi- cation with the Education Department without the intervention of Commissioners, and that a copy of this Resolution be sent to each of the Members of Parliament for this County and Boroutrh, and to Mr Mundella, M.P., and Mr Gladstone, M;P. Signed by the Chairman, T. DAVIES. At a Public Meeting of the Annual Associ- ation of the Congregational Churches of Car- marthenshire, held at Peniel, May 26th, 1885, the following Resolution was unanimously and enthusiastically passed:- That we desire to record'our unfeigned appro- val of the noble efforts of Her Majesty's Govern- ment to settle, by the evangelical principle of arbitration, the unfortunate dispute which lately rose between our Kingdom and that of Russia. We rejoice that the negotiations have been so far successful in preventing the horrors of war, and tcust the Government will succeed by future negotiations to restore perfect understanding between the two Kingdoms respectingtbe Afghan 11 Frontier, and to establish lasting and honourable peace with Russia, and other parts of the world, that no more blood be shed on account of misun- derstanding respecting small tracts of land and we also desire to express perfect confidence in Her Majesty's Government to speedily bring the negotiations to a satisfactory issue. Yr oedd mwynhad wrth ddyweyd a gwrando. Yr oedd y frawdolneth yn Peniel wedi darparu yn helaeth iawn ar gyfer y Gymanfa, a chafodd y derbyniad mwyaf gwresog gan yr eglwys a'u parchu3 weinidog. Cy- hoeddwyd fod y capel newydd ejng a hardd yn rhydd o ddyled, felly yr oedd ei ddydd agoriad yn ddydd ei Jubili. Ond pa ryfedd, pan oedd caredigion crefydd yncyfranu wrth y canoedd o bunau tuag at y ddyled, fel yr oedd y gwaith yn cael ei gario yn mlaen. Clywsom fod un bon- eddwr wedi cyfranu E300 ato. Dywedodd y trysorydd ddydd y Gymanfa, fod arian dros ben talu y contract a'r extras, y rhai heb gyfrif yr haulage oeddynt oddeutatl,400 i £1,500, Well done, pobl a gweinidog Peniel, ewch rhagoch, a thaled yr Arglwydd yn helaeth i'ch mynwesau am eich caredigrwydd difesur, a dilyned bendith Duw y cymanfaoedd, gymanfa Peniel. er addfedu lluoedd i ogoniant.
