At Pewsey on Saturday, Arthur Thomas, manager, and Walter Jukes, barman of the Ram Hotel; Tid worth, were remanded, charged on a coroner's warrant with the manslaughter of a navvy named Sharp in the recent village riot. When arrested Thomas said be did not intend to hit the navvies, but only to frighten them. Bail was allowed each.
