ENGLISH MUSICIANS. The Incorporated Society Meet at Scarborough. At Scarborough on Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Sir Joseph Barnby, the Incor- porated Society of Musicians again met.—Speak- ing on the position of music in England, the Chairman said musical education could be finished in this country, and he only advocated travelling studentships so that students might enlarge their experience.-In the afternoon the conference considered the selection of the next place of meeting.—Mr. D. W. Rootham (Bris- tol) moved, and Dr. Pearce (London) seconded, Cardiff. Mr. Rootham, before moving Cardiff, asked if the accommodation there was good.— Sir Joseph Barnby Yes, I can testify to that personally.—Dublin was chosen by a large majority. o.
