I ABERYSTWYTH UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF WALES, TO THE PUBLIC ELEMENTAL ST SCHOOL- MASTERS OF THE COUNTIES OF CARDIGAN & MERIONETH. By the Royal Charter of Incorporation, dated September 10th, 1889, granted to the above College, it is provided that the PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLMASTERS in each of the Counties of Cardigan and Merioneth shall appoint from time to time each ONE person to bs a member of the Court of Governors of the said College for a period of five years. The Statutes of the College provide that the follow- ing regulations shall apply to the election of the j Governors so appointed (a) Not later than the 1st of April in each year in which the term of office of the Governort, appointed under this Section shall expire, the Public .Elementary Schoolmasters in each of the said Counties shall be invited by advertisement inserted in a newspaper circulating in each of the said Counties respectively, to nominate each a candidate to represent the Public Elementary J Schoolmasters in their respective counties, and tP send such nomination, within 28 days of the first appearance of such advertisement, to the Honorary Secretary, at the Office of the College. Nominil tions under this Statute to be valid mn^t coutxin the full name and address of the candidate, and must be signed by the nominating elector, who must also add his address, and the name of the Public Elementary School of which he is Master. (b) If more than one person is nominated for any of the said Counties, an advertisement shall forth- with be inserted in a newspaper circulating in that County giving a list of the candidates in alphabetical order and inviting each Public Elementary Schoolmaster in such county to inform the Honorary Secretary by letter signed with his name, and giving his address, and the name of the School of which he is Master of, the name of the candidate for whom he wishes to vote, within 28 days of the first appearance of the advertise- ment. (c) The votes shall with all convenient speed be counted by a Committee appointed by the Council for that purpose, and the person who shall receive the largest number of votes shall be declared duly elected. In case of an equality of votes, the Chairman of the Committee shall have a casting vote. (d) The term of office of the Governors so elected shall date from the 10th of September next ensuing.
