Finger Sandwiches. 2 ozs. butter, 8 ozs. sugar, 4 ozs. flour, teaspoonful of baking powder, 2 small eggs and any flavouring desired. Cream the butter and sugar together, add the eggs one at a time, and lastly, the flour and powder. Leave one half the natural colour and to the other halt add 2or 3 drops of cochineal. Bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes, and when cold spread with jam and place the two colours together. Ice the square (before cutting) with water ieirfg, and when set cut into finger lengths.

Cup Pudding.
